Hodgdon Varget is an extruded fuel that is part of Hodgdon’s Hodgdon Extreme series of powders. Varget has small, extruded grains for uniform metering, is insensitive to hot and cold temperatures, and produces more energy than other powders in its burning-speed class, allowing for faster burn times.

This means that the powder ignites quickly and burns cleanly, resulting in excellent accuracy and higher scores, as well as more clean, one-shot kills.

Varget is the ideal powder for shooting the 223 Remington with heavy bullets in competitive matches, and it is also the most affordable. The 22-250 Remington, the 308 Winchester, the 30-06, the 375 H & H, and many other popular cartridges can produce exceptional performance and velocity.
