This extruded powder is a member of Hodgdon’s Extreme family of powders, which has slow-burning qualities that make it ideal for magnum cartridges with large overbore, such as the 7mm Remington Magnum, the 7mm STW, and the 30–378 Weatherby. Furthermore, when used with heavier bullets, the H1000 delivers exceptional velocity and performance in cartridges such as the 6mm-284, 257 Weatherby. 270 Winchester, and 300 Winchester Magnum. In a relatively short period of time, this powder has gained a significant amount of favor among long-range competition shooters.
